Is my builder registered with Tarion?
It is important to research your builder prior to purchasing a home. The Ontario New Home Warranties Plan Act states that all Ontario builders must be registered with Tarion to build and sell homes legally in Ontario. In addition, all new homes must be enrolled by the builder with Tarion prior to construction.
To see if your builder is registered, do a search in the Ontario Builder Directory.
